Services for Elizabeth R. Spath, 66, of 7579 Broad St., who died Saturday at House of the Good Samaritan Hospital in Watertown after a long illness, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor-Vida Funeral Home, Pulaski, the Rev. John von Harten officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7643 Jefferson St.
Mrs. Spath was a Watertown native and resided in Pulaski all her married life. She graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School. She attended the Children's Hospital Nursing School in Buffalo.
Mrs. Spath worked as a cashier at Pulaski Academy and Central School for more than 25 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a 50-year member of Pulaski Grange 730, secretary of the Monday night women's bowling league and was active in Girl Scouts. She was skipper of the Women's Auxiliary of the Watertown Power Squadron and a permanent member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Sackets Harbor Flotilla. She was a communicant of the Pulaski Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Harold E. Sr.; four sons, H. Edwin Jr. of Pine Glen, Pa., Leon R. of Glens Falls, Bruce W. of Kirndorf, West Germany, and Douglas F. II of Marietta, Pa.; a daughter, Ruthann Tanner of Lacona; two brothers, Stanley and Clifford Rowell, both of Syracuse; and 13 grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the U.S. Power Squadron Education Fund.
