Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 19, 1919 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Richland - Funeral of Mrs. Ella Brown - Mrs. Ella Brown, wife of Mr. Frank Brown a resident of Richland for over 40 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. J. Hartney last Wednesday night. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon by Rev. Knoell. Mrs. Brown was born in Canada, but spent the greater part of her life in Richland, where she was loved and respected by all who knew her. Last July she went to stay with her daughter, Mrs. Hartney in Watertown, and was taken ill there and never gave up the battle of life until last Wednesday. Besides Mr. Brown she leaves three sons, Arthur J. of Boston, Walter F. of Toledo, Oscar J. of Richland; a brother, Mr. William McClarey of Syracuse and a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Ames of Richland. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Church of Christ for the last 27 years and will be missed in the church as well as in the community. Among the out of town relatives and friends were Mrs. Lillian McClarey of Oswego, Mrs. Ray Staplin of Rochester, Mrs. Hammond of Oswego, Mr. and Mrs. William McClarey and Mr. Lewis McClarey of Syracuse. The flowers were beautiful.
