Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, July 18, 1935 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Dies at Home of Niece - Mrs. Lue Ella Watkins Brown died on Sunday afternoon last at the home of her niece Mrs. Avery Sharpe at Texas, New York. She was the widow of the late Julius Brown and had resided at Texas for more than 20 years. Mrs. Brown was born at Richland September 22, 1869. She was the daughter of Willard H. and Mary Pangburn Watkins. She was a highly respected citizen. Mrs. Mabel Brown, a sister of Santa Ana, California survives, also several nephews and nieces. Last rites were conducted from the Sharpe home at Texas at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Harold H. Barnard, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Mexico was the officiating clergyman. Interment was in Richland cemetery. The bearers were Ward Ramsey, W. H. Stevens, George M. Cole, Chester Parish, James J. Jones and Ivan Johnson.
