- Whitesboro - Arthur S. Green, 82, died in a Marcy nursing home, Nov. 2, 1958, after a six week illness.
He was born in the Town of Williamstown, Sept. 13, 1876, a son of William and Ellen Parks Green. He was educated in the Williamstown schools.
He was married 62 years ago to Viola Russell, she died in 1909.
In 1918, he came to Utica and first was employed as a carpenter at the Kellogg Lumber Co. His last employment was with the New York State Barge Canal System, retiring in 1950.
He is survived by a son, Harold L. Green of Whitesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Caswell of Mexico, N. Y. and Mrs. Julia Chapman of Rochester, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 Wednesday at the Dimbleby Funeral Home, 179 Main St. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
