Notes - Leland L. Scriber, 70, of RD4 in the hamlet of Pineville, died Saturday afternoon at his home. Born June 2, 1910 in Amboy, he was the son of Charles and Leila Scriber. Scriber was employed by Kendall Refinery in Bradford, Pa., for 19 years, and as an operating engineer in the Buffalo area for many construction companies there. He was a member of Russell Tryon Post 1435., American Legion, Altmar. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Nancy Marie Bond of Orwell, and Frances of Pineville; a son, Peter of Pineville; a brother, Guile of Limestone, and five grandchildre Private graveside services will be held in Pineville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Oswego Chapter. Arrangements are by Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
