Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 9, 1963 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Parish - Ernest Mowers, 64, died Tuesday in the Oswego County Infirmary in Mexico, after a long illness. Mr. Mowers, a former resident of Colosse, served many years as a clerk in the Goodno Grocery Store. He was born in Orwell March 12, 1898, a son of Bert and May Hogan Mowers. His wife, the former Lida True, died several years ago. Surviving are a son, Roswell Mowers of Altmar and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harter Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rudd, pastor of the Parish Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Willis Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
