      Newspaper Obituary - (date unavailable) 1898 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Here and There - Mr. Marshall Pierce died in Pulaski last Friday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs_ George Beeman, aged 78 years. He was a brother-in-law of Messrs. B. S. and G. W. Stone of this village. The latter and his wife attended his funeral which took place Sunday last.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 2, 1898 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Marshall Pierce - Mr. Pierce, whose funeral was held from his late residence, in this village, last Sunday afternoon, Rev. A. S. Emmons, his pastor, and Rev. C. H. Guile officiating, was born November 30, 1819, in Jeffrey, New Hampshire, he was a son of Benjamin and Sarah Pierce, who came to South Richland in 1838. In 1868 he moved to Pulaski, having been married to Miss Sarah Stone, of Mexico, who died fourteen years ago; two children survive their parents, a son and a daughter, Mrs. George Beman, of this village. His brother, Benjamin Pierce, an esteemed merchant of Pulaski, died exactly three months before him, and another brother, Hiram Pierce, is still living. Mr. Pierce had been a member of the Congregational church for thirty years, and he leaves behind him, the memory of the just, the memory of a man, who was honored for his integrity and beloved for his amiable disposition.
