    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 1, 1899 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - South Albion - Stephen Demelt, an old and highly respected resident of this town, died at his home in this place on Saturday, aged 93 years. He is survived by five children, Mrs Powers, of Dugway, Mrs. Scott, of Dion, Isaac, of Richland, Urana, of South Albion, and Darius, of Howardville. Deceased had been a resident of this town for upward of forty years, and by strict integrity and perseverance had secured a competency. During his long illness he was cared for by his daughter, Urana.
