Lucy D. Heckle, 73, of 743 County Route 5, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Heckle and her husband, Joseph, owned and operated Selkirk Lighthouse Hotel for 37 years.
She was an honorary member of St. John's Altar and Rosary Society.
Born Aug. 16, 1929, in Elmira, daughter of Charles M. and Lois Wells Dean, she graduated in 1947 from Nottingham High School, Syracuse.
She married Joseph F. Heckle III on Oct. 6, 1951, at St. John's Church with the Rev. Edward P. Kenefic officiating, after which they resided in Pulaski.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mary Lee Dorschug, Syracuse; three sons, Peter J., Auburn, Christopher J., Liverpool, and Joseph F. IV, Pulaski; two brothers, Charles M. Dean, Syracuse, and William R. Dean, Camillus, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. John F. Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
