Notes - On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, surrounded by her children, Isabelle R. Combes, peacefully departed this earthly world to begin her journey with her heavenly husband, Raymond who predeceased her on February 8, 1981 and son, Robert in 1957. Born to Verna and Francis Tallman of Martville on November 26, 1929, Isabelle met and married Raymond in Martville on July 20, 1950, a union lasting 31 years. She then became a proud and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and a foster child. Prior to retiring from Comstock Foods of Red Creek, she had worked more than 25 years at Cato Show Print until its closing. Isabelle was a loving, loyal and hardworking friend to many. She will be deeply and sadly missed. Surviving are her children, Rae Marie Combes of Oneida, Diane (Rick) Mace, Bernice Hendricks and Brenda (Griff) Warren all of Oswego, Raymond (Cynthia) Combes and Darlene (Percy) Shaw all of Hannibal, Mark (Patti) Combes of Fulton, Mike (Dawn) Combes of Hannibal and Jim Tallman of Oswego; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. with services to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be in the spring at Bethel Cemetery, Hannibal. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses on A Wing at Sunrise Nursing Home in Oswego for the love and care given to their mother during her four year stay.
Graveside services for Isabelle Combes, who passed away, February 15, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Bethel Cemetery, St. Rte. 34, Hannibal. Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal has charge of arrangements.
