Notes - Alexander Matteson. an old and much respected resident of this place passed over to the great beyond, Tuesday last; at the advanced ageof 83 years. Funeral attended Thursday, Rev H. H. Tillapaugh, officiating. Interment at the cemetery at Arthur. He had lived in this town in its earlier days, but moved to Minnesota, remaining for some time but returning to end his mortal career among the friends of his childhood. He married Sarah Howlett of Arthur who had passed on before, whose name be often called in his last sickness, and was laid by her side in the cemetery where his hands had faithfully made a resting place for his loved ones.
