    • Charles R. “Dick” Trust, age 84, resident of Pulaski since 1959, passed away Sunday. Dick was born July 29, 1938, in Fallston, MD, the son of Charles H. and Claudia Viar Trust. He graduated from Bel Air High School in Maryland and attended Maryland University. In 1957, Dick signed with the New York Yankees Farm Club and played for one year as a pitcher before moving to Pulaski. He served in the United States Army Reserves in the early 1960s. In 1969, Dick was married to Nancy Blodgett Trust, and she passed away on August 30, 2017. He owned and operated Trust Nursery & Florist in Pulaski from 1964 until 2016. He had also owned a Christmas tree farm since 1959, which his son Charlie currently owns and operates.

      He was a 50-year member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415, serving as past Lodge Grand Master and State Grand Commander, eventually earning the honor of becoming a 33rd degree Mason. Dick had a deep love of baseball and enjoyed playing in his youth, and later in life watching his grandsons, Mason and Tanner, play baseball.

      Surviving are his children, Debra (John) Holbrook of Pulaski and Charles “Charlie” Trust, Jr. also of Pulaski, a stepson, Micheal (Lora) Jenkins of Binghamton, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, two brothers, William (Barbara) Trust and Dr. Donald Trust. He was predeceased by his brother, Lee Viar and sister in-law, Kathy Trust.

      A graveside service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
