Funeral services for Marshall D. Blodgett, 48 of Orwell will be held Wednesday, July 12 at Foster-Hax Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Calling hours were Tuesday, July 11 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Reverend Ivan Greenfield of Orwell Union Church will officiate.
Mr. Blodgett died Monday, July 10 in the House of Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown where he had been a patient since Saturday evening.
He was born July 26, 1923 at Orwell the son of Miles and Lilly Hilton Blodgett. He graduated from Pulaski High School and for a few years was employed by the Firestone Store. For the past number of years he operated a used furniture and antique shop in Orwell. He never married.
He was a member of the Orwell Fire Department.
Surviving are three brothers, Lester, Howard and Harold, all of Orwell; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Barlow and Mrs. Cecile Hilton, both of Orwell; several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
