- EDNA M. TAYLOR DIES IN WATERTOWN AT AGE 76

Edna M. Taylor, 76, of 835 Water St., died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday in the emergency room of the House of the Good Samaritan, following a lengthy illness.
There will be no funeral or calling hours. The body was donated to science.
Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
Surviving are three sons, Vernon C. Symonds, Star Lake, Donald J. Symonds, Evans Mills, and Daniel G. Symonds, Tampa, Fla.; five daughters, Patricia M. Wilken, Bonita Springs, Fla., Frances J. Freeman, Virginia, and Mickey L. Symonds, Joanne M. John and Melody A. Symonds, all of Watertown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Two daughters, Anna L. and Sharon G. Symonds, died before her.
Born in Herrings May 20, 1914, a daughter of Floyd and Louise Gayne, she was educated in Carthage schools.
She married Charles J. Symonds Feb. 10, 1934. He died in December 1963. She then married Lownell "Bud" Taylor June 24, 1966. Mr. Taylor died Nov. 4, 1980.
Mrs. Taylor had been employed at the Olga Knitting Mills until the mill closed several years ago. She had also been employed part-time at the Sugar Bowl Restaurant.
