- Michael J. Callahan 43, formally of Sandy Creek, passed away on October 5, 2017. Michael graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in 1992 and went on to receive his bachelor degree from SUNY Oswego. He was most recently working as an LPN. Michael was an avid Yankees, SU and Crunch fan. He was a proud brother of the DKK fraternity at SUNY Oswego. Michael loved his Irish/Scottish heritage, the outdoors, 80’s music, his friends and most importantly his family.
Michael is survived by his beloved children; Tristan and Peyton Callahan; his parents Dan and Colleen Mead of Lacona, NY, George and Mary Callahan of Beachwood, NJ; his Paternal Grandmother Norma Jean Callahan of Summerville, SC; his sisters Nichole (Gary) Fuller, Meghan (Craig) Mead/Bertram, Ashley (Richard) Griffith, Lauren (Eric) Hayes; his brothers Shawn (Jenni) Callahan and Christopher (Krystle) Callahan; several nieces and nephews; Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Michael was predeceased by his Maternal Grandparents Floyd and Arlene McDougal; Paternal Grandparents Cal and Mary Mead and Bernard Callahan.
Services: All are welcome to join the family for a celebration of his life Sunday October 15th at Selkirk Shores State Park enclosed pavilion from 12(Noon) - 4pm; Rev. Linda Taber will officiate.
