- Robert A. Murtha, II, 74, of Rome, passed away in Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center. He was born in Pulaski, NY, the son of Robert and Eleanor King Murtha. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1964-1966.
Robert was a huge fan of Syracuse University sports.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan Murtha of Baldwinsville; two sons, Robert and Adam Murtha of Syracuse; a brother, Brian (Sally) Murtha of Pulaski; five grandchildren, Aaron, Jamie, Jorja, Robert IV, and Alexi; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Michiko Charters, and his sister, Mary Ellen Miller.
