- Newspaper Obituary - Friday, June 20, 1915 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Pulaski Man's Death - George Towsley Died From Injuires Received By Being Kicked By A Horse - George Towsley, who lives on a small farm two miles from Pulaski, near Fernwood, died in the Crouse-Irving Hospital in Syracuse late yesterday from injuries suffered when kicked by a horse, which he was leading on Saturday last. Towsley attempted to lead the horse from the barn, intending to go for a drive. As he went out of the barn door, the animal shied, throwing Towsley against the door post and inflicting several minor scalp wounds. Towsley fell beneath the heels of the horse. He managed to drag himself away, but not before he had been kicked several times in the body. Towsley rose and quieted the animal, harnessed him and went for the drive he had planned, returning late at night. Before morning he was suffering to such an extent that Dr. F. L. Ritter, of Pulaski, was called. For several days it was thought he would recover, but his condition became worse Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon he was taken to the hospital in Syracuse. It is believed that death was caused by internal injuries. An autopsy is to be held today.
