      Deceased Name: JOSE J. VERGARA
      Jose J. Vergara, 86, of 205 Chemung St. died Monday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
      A native of Valdivia, Columbia, Mr. Vergara came to the United States in 1972 and eventually became a U.S. citizen. He retired as a businessman in Columbia and later was employed for several years with the Hotel Syracuse. His wife, Nina, died in 1968.
      Surviving are seven sons, Rodrieo of Columbia, Rennan, Cesar, Oscar and Javier, all of Syracuse, German of Cicero and Jose Luis of Parish; three daughters, Martha Nelly McCardell and Lucia Strail, both of Cicero, and Silvia Diva Vergara of Syracuse; a brother, Thomas of Columbia; and two sisters, Bertha and Homoria, both of Columbia.
      Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Harter Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, both in Parish. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish.
