Services were Saturday for former Syracuse resident Mary Lou Doud Owens, 49, who died Aug. 8 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Burial was in Lompac, Calif.
A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Owens moved to California in 1967 and was living in Lompac at the time of her death. She was employed more than five years with the University of California at Santa Barbara. Mrs. Owens was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and Eastern Washington University.
Surviving are her husband, James; her mother, Genevieve Doud of Syracuse; two sisters, Nancy Schullery of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Jean Young of Camillus; three brothers, James of East Amherst, John of Pulaski and Bruce Doud of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
