    • Newspaper Obituary - September 3, 1975 Pulaski Democrat - Theodore C. Stewart, 71, of RD 1, Theadora, N.Y. a former resident of Richland, passed away on Wednesday, August 27 at St. Luke's Hospital, Utica where he had been a patient for nine days. He was born on May 10, 1904 in Richland, the son of Draper and Harriet Couzens Stewart. He graduated from Pulaski High School and Potsdam College and married Laura Adler in 1942. The couple resided in Thendora for 22 years where he was a self-employed roofing and siding contractor. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Thomas D. Stewart of Syracuse, one daughter, Mrs. Shirley VanTassell of Syracuse and five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, August 29 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Gerald Browne II, of the Richland Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery.

Stewart, 71, of Thendara, R.D. 1, formerly of Richland, who died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital, Utica, where he had been a patient nine days was this morning at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Brownell officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Adler Stewart; a son, Thomas B., Syracuse; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley VanTassel, Syracuse; and five grandchildren. Born in Richland May 10, 1904, son of Draper and Harriet Couzens Stewart, he was graduated from Pulaski High School and attended Potsdam Normal School. He married Laura Adler Sept. 7, 1942. The couple has resided near Thendara for the past 21 years. Mr. Stewart was a self employed roofing and siding contractor.
