    • Laura Ann Wright - February 13, 1846 - February 16, 1916. Daughter of Albert and Laura C. Stratton Wright. Wife of Deming Porter Smart & Jacob V. Wright. Section 5, Row 26.

Newspaper Obituary - February 23, 1916 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Laura Ann Wright - Died February 16, 1916, at her home at Daysville, Laura Ann, wife of Jacob V. Wright, aged seventy years. Mrs. Wright was born in Woodville, Jefferson County, New York, February 13, 1846, and removed with her parents to this county when a young girl. She was married in 1867 to Deming P. Smart who died about ten years later. To them were born two children, Frank A. Smart and Mrs. Esther Beehm, born of whom reside in Daysville. After a few years of widowhood she was married to Jacob V. Wright who survives her. For the past few years she has been in gradually failing health but was only confined to her bed for a week, being fully conscious to the last. Mrs. Wright was essentially a home woman and was seldom far from her circle of friends and relatives. A devoted wife, a kind and loving mother, has gone to that "better land" to receive her reward, for like the woman of old she has done what she could. The funeral was held from her late home on Friday last, Rev. R. F. Thomas speaking words of comfort from the text, "She is not dead, but sleepeth." Her son, son-in-law and two nephews acted as bearers, and her body was placed at rest in the Daysville cemetery, where she will await her loved ones.
