Kimberly A. LaFlamme Stewart, 38, Route 11, died Wednesday at her home, where she was under the care of her family, friends and Hospice of Jefferson County. She had been ill with cancer for 18 months.
Mrs. Stewart in 2000 established a takeout food and catering business, Way Home Food, Adams Center, which she since owned and operated.
Born Feb. 23, 1969, in Oswego, a daughter of Floyd and Linda Zollo LaFlamme, she attended schools in Phoenix until eighth grade. She graduated in 1987 from South Jefferson Central School and took liberal arts courses at Jefferson Community College, Watertown.
After completing her education, she was a waitress at Art's Jug and Sboro's restaurants in Watertown and the Charter House Restaurant, Henderson Harbor.
Mrs. Stewart enjoyed riding her horses, boating, camping and fly fishing.
A marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving are a daughter, Kirsten Stewart, 13, Adams; twin 14-month-old sons, Jeffrey and Blake Nohle, Adams; her mother and stepfather, Linda and Pete Larkin, Adams; her fiance, Jerry S. Nohle, Adams; a brother and his wife, Jeffrey and Karen LaFlamme, Adams; a half brother, Justin LaFlamme, Tupper Lake, and several nieces and nephews.
Her father died in February 2001.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Adams United Methodist Church with the Revs. Mona Fargo and Terry Milbyer officiating. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Adams United Methodist Church.
