Hubert F. Burgen, 64, of 1320 Highland St. died Tuesday at his home.
Born in Fulton, Mr. Burgen lived in Mallory, Camillus and Pennellville before moving to Syracuse in 1989. He retired in 1984 after 28 years as a machine operator with Mead Container Corp., Camillus.
Mr. Burgen was an Army veteran of World War II and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of North Syracuse VFW Post 7290; Arthur Butler American Legion Post 359, East Syracuse; Military Order of the Purple Heart; and 106th Infantry Division Association.
He was also a member of the Royal Order of Moose Lodge 644, Baldwinsville; Fraternal Order of Eagles, New Port Richey, Fla.; and United Paper Workers Union Local 1430.
Surviving are two sons, Victor H. of Baldwinsville and Mitchell I. of Syracuse; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, Camillus. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus.
