William Robert Larrabee Sr.

After a long illness, William Robert Larrabee Sr., 88, of Pulaski, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Health Care Facility in Oswego, NY, on July 17. He is survived by his sons, William Jr. (Kathy) of Pulaski and Scot (Laurie) of Mexico; six grandchildren; and eight great-grand-children. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Edith, and his son, Greg.
Bill was born in Parish, NY, on May 9, 1921, to Merton and Daisy (Morse) Larrabee. After serving under General Patton in the 88th Ordnance in World War II; he returned to Central New York and opened his Ford dealership, Pulaski Sales & Service. Bill earned the Silver Beaver, the Boy Scouts of America's highest honor, and served on the Pulaski School Board, Oswego County BOCES Board and New York State School Board Association for nearly a quarter of a century.
His favorite spot in the world was his camp in Osceola, where he loved to hunt with his wife, split wood and cook eggs and bacon over the fire. His life's philosophy was "Be kind and have fun." Bill will always be remembered by family and friends for his compassion, wisdom and for having a rolling baritone laugh that made everyone smile.
Funeral services will be private.
