Nicholas N. White, 69, Canning Factory Road, a chiropractor in the Pulaski section since 1971, died Saturday evening in Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl M. Smith, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
Surviving are a brother, Jesse White, Pulaski; a sister, Mary White, also of Pulaski; a niece and nephew, and several cousins.
Born at Pulaski on Sept. 27, 1919, a son of George and Elizabeth Shafty White, he was a 1935 graduate of Pulaski High School. He also was graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University in 1943, earning a degree in electrical engineering.
Mr. White continued his studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., in the areas of statistics and quality control, and computer programming at The Systems Institute in New Jersey.
He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947, and was employed as an electrical engineer by several firms for more than 20 years.
In 1967, Mr. White was graduated from the Chiropractic Institute of New York. He worked as a chiropractor in New Jersey before opening a practice in the Pulaski section in 1971.
Mr. White was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics fraternity, Sigma Pi Sigma physics fraternity, and Tau Beta Pi engineering fraternity. He was also a member of the American Chiropractic Association.
