Carl Sr., Formerly Of Pulaski, Dies - James Roy Carl Sr., 79, Watsonville, California formerly of Pulaski, died Friday at Watsonville Community Hospital. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster-flax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Ann Marie; a son, James R. Jr., Maple Valley, Washington; a brother, Edward, Manson, Tennessee; a sister, Patricia Davis, Pulaski; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Donald, and a sister, Marylyn Crocker, died before him. Born May 22, 1915, in Adams, son of Howard and Mary Bowen Carl, he was a graduate of Pulaski High School and served with the Army from 1943 to 1945. He married Ann Marie Moffroid in January 1945. Mr. Carl was employed by Veterans Administration hospitals in Manchester, New Hampshire, Canandaigua and Syracuse for 30 years before retiring in 1973. He also served with the Civilian Conservation Corps for several years in the 1930s. He had lived in Watsonville since 1974.
