      Grace E. Prouty, 90, of 7513 Delano St., died Monday at the Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

      Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Park United Methodist Church.

      Surviving are several cousins.

      Born on July 24, 1903, in Pulaski, daughter of Frank and Clara Frary Prouty, she graduated from Pulaski High School in 1920 and from Oswego Normal School in 1922. She graduated cum laude from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in education in 1936.

      Miss Prouty taught in Sodus from 1922 to 1924 and taught seventh- and eighth-grade social studies and English at Pulaski High School from 1924 until retiring in 1964.

      She was a lifelong resident of Pulaski and a member of Park United Methodist Church, the Pulaski Civic Club and Pulaski Chapter 157, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the state Retired Teachers Association, the Oswego County Retired Teachers Association, and the Pulaski Senior Citizens Club.
