Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 24, 1947 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - North Mexico - Jesse S. Dyke, 68, life-long resident of the Town of Mexico, died Tuesday at his residence in North Mexico, after an illness of three months. He was born January 1, 1879, a son of the late Sylvester and Elizabeth Cohn Dyke, and had been engaged in farming since his school days in the vicinity of North Mexico. He was a member of the Mexico Grange, of the Order of the Maccabees, and had been, for years a member of the Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eula Dyke; one daughter, Mrs. Ada Clapp, Medina; two sons, Gifford of Mexico, and Sylvester of Phepps, New York. Funeral services will be held privately at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from his late home and burial will be made in Willis cemetery.
