Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, January 11, 1947 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Fred F. Cross, 80, died late Friday night at his home in Box street. He had been in ill health two years but was seriously ill the last month. Born October 15, 1866, son of Ira and Julia Fennell Cross, in the town of Albion, Mr. Cross was a graduate of Pulaski Academy. For many years he worked in the Tollner plant at Pulaski and then the Begley Sewall plant at Watertown. Mr. Cross retired from business about six years ago and then returned to Pulaski. He was married twice and his first wife, Margaret Norwood Cross, died in 1935. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge 145, F. & A.M., and Media Temple, Watertown. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hannah Johnson Cross, eight stepchildren; two nephews, Harry Cross of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Donald Cross of Syracuse, and a niece, Miss Jean Cross of Syracuse. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster funeral home in Pulaski, with the Rev. James N. Pauley of Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
