Newspaper Obituary - July 4, 1963 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Pulaski - Willis Manwarren, 83, former resident of Daysville, died Thursday evening, June 27, in the VanDuyn Hospital, Syracuse, where he had been a patient for the past five years. He was born in the town of Mexico, October 7, 1879, son of the late Ira and Estella Chapman Manwarren. He spent most of his life in the Daysville area and was also a resident of Syracuse. Mr. Manwarren was employed for 30 years as a baggage master for the New York Central Railroad in Syracuse, retiring eight years ago. He was a member of the NYC Brotherhood. He is survived by two brothers, Quentin and Leon Manwarren, Fernwood and one sister, Mrs. Germer (Bertha) Halsey, Fernwood, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Robert North, pastor of the Fernwood Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Daysville Cemetery.
