Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 12, 1953 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. F. C. Cross Dies in Pulaski ¬Following a long illness, Mrs. Hannah D. Cross, 79, widow of Fred F. Cross, died at the Williams Nursing home, in Pulaski Monday night, February 2, 1953. She was born in the town of Worth July 22, 1879, daughter of Albert and Delilah Brown Gardner. She was married March 4, 1901, to William Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson came to Pulaski and conducted a grocery store in Salina Street, until his death October 13, 1922. Later she married Mr. Cross who died in January, 1947. She was a member of the Pulaski Methodist Church. She has 53 direct survivors, including one son, Donald Johnson, Fulton; six daughters, Mrs. Rita Wheelock, Cicero; Mrs. Ethel Martinet, Watertown; Mrs. Hazel Alger, North Syracuse; Mrs. Doris Hutt, Whitesboro; Mrs. Loletta Davey, Altmar; Mrs. Dona Davies, Pulaski; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Foster funeral home, Pulaski, February 5. Services were conducted by Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of Methodist Church, and I burial will be in Willis cemetery.
