      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, August 31, 1953 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Pearl S. Church, 64, of Fernwood, widow of Ellis C. Church, died Sunday night in Memorial hospital, Syracuse, after having been a patient there for one day. She was born on August 8, 1889, in Fernwood, the daughter of Orin and Mary Bumpus Sprague, and spent most of her life in that vicinity. She was a member of the Fernwood Methodist church and of the South Richland Grange. Mrs. Church was married August 6, 1909, to Mr. Church by Col. Perry O. Wilcox, pastor of the Fernwood Methodist church at that time. Mr. Church died August 14, 1950. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hunter of Fernwood; one brother, Herbert Sprague of Pulaski, and two grandsons, Thomas and Robert Hunter of Fernwood. Prayers will be held at the home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and the funeral at 2:30 p.m. from the Fernwood Methodist church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. George Butler of Adams, a former pastor of the church. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
