- Newspaper Obituary - Friday December 5, 1997 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Beatrice Thomas Ex-Teacher and Store Clerk - Beatrice W. Thomas, 85, Rome Street, died Thursday at her home. Mrs. Thomas taught in rural schools in the Pulaski school district for several years, and lived her life in Pulaski. She was employed by Rex Potts' Drug Store and Bett's Department Store. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski Grange 730, and the Pulaski Civic Club. Born September 21, 1912, at Pulaski, a daughter of Thomas and Bertha Coon Wilder, she graduated from Pulaski Normal School in 1932, and married John Thomas on November 9, 1935. He died August 3, 1982. Surviving are a son, Jack D., Pulaski; three daughters, Patricia T. Mowry, Mexico, and Sandra L. Wilson and Sharon A. Thomas, both of Pulaski; a brother, C.D. Wilder, Pulaski; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Four sisters, Florence Montondo, Helen Grinnell and Geraldine and Marion Wilder; and four brothers, Robert, Thomas, John and Lemuel Wilder, died before her. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
