Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 8, 1939 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Fernwood - Respected Resident Passes ¬Alonzo W. Larmon - After having been confined to his bed but little more than a week Alonzo W. Larmon passed away at his home last Friday afternoon, Mr. Larmon had been in failing health for many months but was determined to "keep going" just as long as he could. He was born in Boylston, the son of William and Lydia Cook Larmon on August 3, 1863. He was a fanner all his life and for many years had been a faithful member of the Grange. On February 15, 1887 Mr. Larmon was married to Miss Lizzie Patterson of Sandy Creek. They celebrated their fiftieth anniversary two years ago with a surprise given them by Grange friends and neighbors. Mr. Larmon was a quiet, industrious, upright citizen and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to his bereaved wife, and son, Robert Larmon of Pulaski. Besides the wife and son he is survived by a brother, George Larmon of Adams and three grandsons, Leigh, Howard and Elroy Larmon of Pulaski and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from his late home on Monday afternoon, November 6th with Rev. George Butler of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Willis cemetery. The beautiful floral pieces and the large attendance of relatives and friends were fitting testimony of the love and respect in which our departed neighbor was held.
