      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, May 31, 1955 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico - Funeral services for Morgan E. Howard, 74, of Mungers Corners who died late Saturday in the Farrell Nursing Home in West Main Street, were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Leroy M. Miner funeral home with the Rev. David H. Davis, pastor of Mexico Baptist church, conducting the services. Burial was in the family plot in the Willis cemetery. Bearers were Alfred Clifford, Edward Hanson, Ervin Valin, Ward Schofield, Arthur Schofield and Dwight Mayne. Born in the town of New Haven on January 3, 1881, he was the son of the late John and Jennie Everts Howard. He had spent the greater part of his life in this vicinity. For many years he engaged in the grocery business and conducted a grocery store in Mexico Village, at Clifford and two different ones near Mungers Corners. He was a member of Palermo Grange. Mr. Howard was married three times. His first wife was the former Miss Bertha Tollerton. After her death, he married Miss Minnie Williams. His third wife, who died last year at their home at Mungers Corners, was Mrs. Musa Stalbird Howard. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Mary) Zufelt and Mrs. John (Georgia) Alden, both of Liverpool; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
