Newspaper Obituary - Monday, September 20, 1976 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico - Mrs. Mabel L. Gates, 82, of John Street, died early this morning in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient for 11 days. Mrs. Gates was born in Daysville, June 21, 1894, daughter of Fred and Mattie Minckler Price. She was married to Claude Gates in 1914. During their 60 years of marriage, they resided in Clay, Syracuse, Adams and Mexico, where they lived until Mr. Gates' death in 1974. She was a member of Mexico United Methodist church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Harter-Olmstead Funeral 1-Tome here. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
