Jane (Gates) Doran, 75, formerly of North Syracuse , passed away Sunday at her daughter's home in Chittenango. She was born in Pulaski on Christmas day, 1930 to A. Maurice and Flossie M. Gates. Jane worked many years as a bookkeeper and in her later years, for Illusions Hair Salon. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Doran and brother, Richard Gates. She is survived by her loving husband, Leo, of 57 years; seven children, Susan (Frank) Kordziel, Sharon (William) Schlueter, Leo V. Jr., Sherry Doran, William (Roxanne) Doran, Sally Doran, and Paul Doran; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Jane treasured her family and stretched her love to all. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 7 p.m. at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Spring Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Richland. Contributions in Jane's name can be made to Hospice of CNY or SPCA.
