Newspaper Obituary - September 14, 1914 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Sudden Death Near Pulaski - Andrus Rockfellow Stricken on Saturday Night - Pulaski, September 14 - The sudden death of Andrus Rockfellow occurred last Saturday night at his home on the State road about five miles south of this village. Mr. Rockfellow, who was about 76 years old, was one of the best known and most highly respected residents of the town of Richland, where he had lived for many years, following farming. Between 8 and 9 Saturday evening he was suddenly stricken in the kitchen. Dr. F. E. MacCallum of this village was notified and went to the Rockfellow farm house, but his services were not required, Mr. Rockfellow having died within a few seconds after being stricken. He had for a long time been subject to a chronic heart trouble. Coroner Leroy F. Hollis of Lacona was called, but did not deem an inquest necessary, declaring that death resulted from heart trouble.
