Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 6, 1991 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Ula Hubbard, 96, Fernwood, Dies ¬Ula G. Hubbard, 96, Fernwood, a native of Alexandria Bay, died Monday at the Harr-Wood Nursing Home, Oswego. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in South Richland Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Easton, pastor of the Fernwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St., Pulaski. Surviving are two sons, Harold K., Fernwood, and Howard E., Pulaski; two daughters, Margurite Mance, Alexandria Bay, and Roberta J. Hager, Mexico; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Robert Snow, both of Alexandria Bay; and two sisters, Betty Raber, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Margurite Snow, Alexandria Bay. A son, Donald R., died October 2, 1988. Born February 27, 1895, in Alexandria Bay, daughter of Bernard and Sarah Waits Snow, she lived in Fernwood since 1934. She married Mason Hubbard in 1912. He died in 1918. She married Claude W. Hubbard March 17, 1920. The couple owned and operated a farm in the town of Alexandria until 1934, when they moved to Fernwood. Mr. Hubbard was a farmer until 1945, when he became a school custodian. He died February 4, 1971. Mrs. Hubbard was a member of the Fernwood United Methodist Church.
