- Robert C. Kaple Obituary
Robert C. Kaple, age 73, resident of Richland, passed away, Wednesday, April 2nd at Upstate Hospital with his family by his side. Bob was born on April 15,1951, to John E. Kaple and Maxine Cross-Kaple and moved to Pekin as wee boy of just six months old and has remained on the family property ever since. Loving life and his family, he took extra pride in his workmanship, starting at the ripe age of eight helping his dad on random jobs, which soon evolved into a lifelong career. Bob worked many residential and commercial jobs in his lifetime, but one that he took so much pride in was the rebuilding of The Madison Barracks in Sacketts Harbor, NY. Pride in not only being a carpenter but being a reproducer of what once was.
Bob was predeceased by his parents John and Maxine, brother John (Jack) Kaple, sister Glennys Adams and wife Patricia. He was lucky enough to find love and companionship again in his loving partner in crime and blackberry picking partner, Marilyn Hauer. He is survived by a sister, Roberta (Kurt)Hanni, daughters, Mariah Boggs, Brenda Lallier, Donna (Lloyd)Trumble and Roberta Kaple-Curry. His grandchildren, his pride and joy, Samantha Abrantes, Andrew Trumble, Richard Boggs, Ty, Tate and Olivia Lallier, Jesiah, Nathaniel and Juliana Curry and one great grandson Logan Abrantes. Nephews, Marty, Matt and Kyle Hanni, Chris Adams and niece Kelly Wilkes, as well as great nieces and nephews. Along with his best friend, never went anywhere without, his border collie Kanni.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 8th at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street Pulaski. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
To know Bob was to love him, and if you didn’t, you sure as heck were missing out! And as the saying goes “jack of many trades, master of none”, but we gotta say, in our eyes, he was a master of them all.
