      Albert J. Jesikiewicz, 80, of Hudson Road, Plains, died Monday in the Florida Hospital, Deland, Florida. Born in the Hudson section of Plains Township, he was a son of the late Casimir and Josephine (Franckowiak) Jesikiewicz. He was a lifelong resident of Plains. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 127th Anti-aircraft Battalion in the European Theater. He was employed as a machinist and welder for Westinghouse Electric Co., Wilkes-Barre, until his retirement. He was a member of the Plains American Legion Post 558 and SS. Peter and Paul Church, Plains. He and his wife, the former Rosalie Snarski, had celebrated their fifty-third wedding anniversary October 13, 2004.

      He was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley and Chester.

      Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Susan Rusen of Lebanon; sons, Albert of Pittston; Thomas of Lockport, New York; James of Mountain Top; and nine grandchildren.

      The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains.

      Friends may call on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Military services will be conducted by members of the Joseph E. Conlon American Legion Post 558, Plains.
