Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 25, 1969 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico - Donald E. Mowry, 51, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Mexico, New York, died Saturday at Monterey, Republic of Mexico. He had been a patient of Waco, Texas Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Mexico, New York, he spent his early life here. He had served in the Army prior to World War II and in the Merchant Marine during World War II. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Rena Halsey Mowry of Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. John Hamer of Mexico and Mrs. James Harris of Clayville, and three brothers, Kenneth, Richard and William Mowry, all of Mexico. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at South Richland Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Miner Funeral Home.
