      Newspaper Obituary - Friday, February 5, 2010 Salmon River News - Pulaski, New York - Glenn "Rusty" V. Gates, of Parish, passed away on January 25, after a long illness. He was predeceased by his wife Joanne in 1994. He is survived by his five children: Lynne Gates, Rusty Gates (Parish), Carol LaTray (Cleveland) and Glenda Gates (Mexico). He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Tracey, Carrie, Jason, Daniel, Ryan, Parker, Cadence, Peyton, Cody, Kristina, Larry and Rusty. Also 10 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Addison, Olivia, Lauren, Matthew, Riley, Austin, Zach, Hope and Abby. He also leaves behind five step-children, Bobby, David, Danny, Debbie and Walt; four step-grandchildren: Amanda, Daniel, Stephanie and Rachel; one sister, Betty Hutchinson, several nieces and nephews and his companion Shannon. Rusty served as a private first class in the Air Force, he retired from the New York State Department of Transportation in 1985. He enjoyed working on tractors, playing his harmonica and being with his family He will be sadly missed by all, and will forever be in our hearts. Spring graveside services will be in the South Richland Cemetery at a time to be announced. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Parish.
