- CHARLES E. CROSS, LAST OF NINE CHILDREN PASSES AWAY
Charles E. Cross was born in this village August 4, 1843. He spent his early life, in Pulask and engaged in carriage making and woodworking.
He married Miss Ennis Bentley, October 2, 1865, who died many years ago. In 1887 Mr. Cross left Pulaski to make his home in Rochester and remained there until 1910 when he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, remaining there until 1921 when he came back to Pulaski to reside and has made this his home, since then.
Mr. Cross was a member of St. James Episcopal church, of this village.
A short time ago Mr. Cross was taken ill and was removed to Ideal Rest hospital in Orwell, where he died May 19. He is survived by an only daughter, Mrs. A. H. Godsmark of Binghamton. He was the last of nine children.
Funeral services were held from St. James church, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Ray Wotton, rector of St. James church officiating.
Burial in Pulaski cemetery.
