      Newspaper Obituary - December 1, 2000 The Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Charles H. Mellinger, 49, of 217 Halsey Road, Mexico, died Wednesday at home. Born in Oswego, he was a life resident of the Mexico area. He was a graduate of Mexico Academy. He worked in the maintenance department of New Venture Gear for 28 years. He was a member of the Mexico Academy Alumni Association. Survivors: His wife of 28 years, the former Grace Rude; two daughters, Karen Hellinger of Oswego and Rebecca Hellinger of Rochester; three sons, Joseph and Daniel, both of Mexico, and William of Fulton; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Jean Hellinger of Mexico; his mother, Leolla Quackenbush of Mexico; a sister, Patricia Hellinger of Syracuse; two brothers, David of Pulaski and Arthur of Mattydale; his paternal grandmother, Hazel Hellinger of Mexico; five grandchildren.
