    • Obituary, Watertown Daily Times, 17 Dec 1959:

      "Francis S. Davey, 56 of Altmar, died Tuesday night in a hospital at Vero Beach, Fla. following a long illness. He and Mrs. Davey had bone to Fellsmere, Fla. a week ago to make their home for the winter.

      "Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Loleta Johnson Davey; his mother, Mrs. Delia Davey, Lacona; four daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Darcy) Forbes, Jr., Richland; Mrs. Joseph (Eris) Colloca, Oswego; Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Brown, Lafayette, and Mrs. Richard (Thelma) Sprague, Altmar; two sons, Donald Davey, Ogdensburg, and William Davey, Fellsmere; a brother, DeForest Davey, Altmar and 32 grandchildren.

      "Mr. Davey was born Nov. 12, 1903 in Happy Valley, the son of Daniel and Delia Scranton Davey. He had lived all his life in Altmar where he had oeprated a garage for more than 30 years. He married Miss Loleta Johnson May 15, 1922.

      "He was a member of the Orwell Odd Fellows lodge, the Altmar fire department, or the the Williamstown Masonic lodge.

      "The funeral will be at the family home, Altmar, Sunday at 2-m with Rev. J. Martin Weck, pastor of the Altmar Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Altmar. Masonic rites will be held Saturday night. Friend may call at the home any time after Saturday at 10 a.m."
