lice Conway, 91, of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born in Plains Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Julia (Merrick) Corcoran. She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Wilkes-Barre. She attended Kings College, Wilkes-Barre, and College Misericordia, Dallas Township. She was a registered nurse for Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, and a school nurse for Wilkes-Barre Township High School and Wilkes-Barre Area School District. She was a member of St. John's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, William; infant sons, John and Patrick; brothers, Patrick, William, Donald, Gerald and Hugh Corcoran.
Surviving are her sons, James and Patrick, both of Plains Township; John and Michael, both of Wilkes-Barre; Joseph Ardmore and Thomas, both of Philadelphia; daughters, Mary Eileen Williams, with whom she resided in Philadelphia; Irene Kelly and Alice Morrow, both of Florida; Bridget Komnath, Macungie; and Judy Paralis, Wilkes-Barre; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Julie Reisinger, Plains Township; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Plains Township. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
