Robert L. Bailey, 74, of 802 Tulip St., Liverpool, died of cancer Monday at his home.
He was a Syracuse native and lived in Liverpool more than 50 years.
He was a self-employed sales and building contractor and formerly owned and operated several businesses including Bailey Home Supply and The Dutch Treat.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool, and a longtime member of the Liverpool Rod and Gun Club.
Mr. Bailey was a member of Liverpool-Syracuse Masonic Lodge 501.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Helen Kingsley; two daughters, Mary Jill Loewy of Winter Haven, Fla., and Janet M. Bailey of Liverpool; three sons, Robert J. of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard G. and Ronald L., both of Liverpool; a sister, Barbara Sabray of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two nephews.
Services are 9:15 a.m. Friday at Maurer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker, the Rev. Charles M. Major officiating. Burial is in Liverpool Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.
