VALINSKY Rose Valinsky, age 91, formerly of Prospect Avenue in Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, August 13, 2007, at Hewitt Health Center in Shelton. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Valinsky, Jr.. Rose was born in Hudson, PA, on August 27, 1915, daughter of the late Casimer and Mary Szalamacha Jesikiewicz, and lived for many years in Derby before coming to Shelton over 26 years ago. She worked for the former Bond Rubber Co. in Derby, and was a former member of the Shelton Sr. Citizens Club. She and her husband used to greatly enjoy camping and spending time outdoors. She is the beloved mother of Mary Anne Brickett and her husband Bill of Shelton, Eugene Valinsky and his wife Teresa of Waterbury, and John R. Valinsky of Shelton and Robyn of Naugatuck. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters in Pennsylvania. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 8:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Shelton. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby. At the request of the family, memorial contributions can be made to CT VNA Hospice, 680 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484.
