Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 20, 1958 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Today for Walter Farnham - Walter H. Farnham, 68, Police Justice of the village the past two years, died in the Oswego Hospital Monday at 2:30 p.m. following a heart attack. He had suffered a heart attack about three weeks ago and was hospitalized for a few days and returned to his home. Last Thursday he suffered another attack from which he failed to recover. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. W. Russell Clark, pastor of Park Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Pulaski Masonic Lodge conducted services at the funeral home last evening at 7 p.m. His only survivor is his wife, Mrs. Pearl Cooper Farnham. Mr. Farnham was born in Philadelphia, New York, February 26, 1890, the son of George and Minnie Hewitt Farnham. He was graduated from Carthage high school and came to Pulaski with his parents in 1913. He was a veteran of World War I and married Miss Pearl Cooper June 24, 1920. He conducted a garage business in partnership with William Gorman for several years, afterwards being sole owner of the business. He retired in 1940 and about 12 years ago suffered a heart attack from which he apparently recovered. He was a Past Commander of Robert Edwards Post, 358, American Legion; a past master of Pulaski Masonic Lodge 415, F. & A.M., a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Consistory. He also served the Town of Richland as Justice of the Peace.
